A richly appointed castle.Rebuilt in the nineteenth century, the Chateau de Chantilly possesses rich tastefully decorated apartments, in some cases designed specifically for the château. Furniture ensembles also came from other estates including the Jeux de Saint-Cloud.Visitors can admire the woodwork, the fine furnishing, the lamps, the small and larger apartments such as the antechamber, the Salle des Gardes and the Grande Singerie with its décor populated with monkeys and Chinese baboons. The chapel is dedicated to St. Louis, and its furniture comes from Ecouen castle's chapel, which inspired the architecture here. The stained glass windows date from the sixteenth century.
